IS THAT IT FOR SOUTH AFRICA’s LIBERALISM?
Considering recent implosions in the Democratic Alliance, can it be safely concluded that the party is facing an inevitable demise? Was it possible to predict what is happening years before today? Or is that too simplistic an assumption that is disconnected from realities of South Africa’s racialized divisions?
Professor Eddy Maloka – whose written extensively on the subject – will be keynote speaker at OR Tambo School of Leadership’s Umrabulo Dialogue where he will dissect liberalism and the Democratic Alliance. Dr David Masondo will be a respondent to what is expected to be a lively engagement.
Books authored by Proffessor Maloka includes “Friends of the Natives: The Inconvenient Past of South African Liberalism” as well as “Problematising the African Renaissance” which both shed light on the ideology of liberalism.
All media is invited to attend the Umrabulo Dialogue.
