Chairperson of OR Tambo School of Leadership, Kgalema Motlanthe, has been apprised about state of readiness of the school’s upcoming advanced strategic courses focused on the module Tools of Analysis. The module’s rollout will be done as a pilot phase of OR Tambo School’s strategic courses and will be delivered simultaneously to the four provinces of Free State, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
Facilitators, who includes former President Kgalema Motlanthe who will be with the KwaZulu Natal province, comprise ANC veterans and experienced political education implementors with an in-depth understanding of the subject matter. The deployed team of facilitators in other selected provinces include George Mashamba and Tsenoli Lechesa.
The Tools of Analysis will commence on 10th October 2020 targeted at ANC provincial leaders and legislators. It is targeted for conclusion by end November 2020. A postmortem after course delivery will guide OR Tambo School’s approach regarding offering of other advanced courses, more so considering a “new normal” setting necessitated by Covid-19 realities.
The Tools of Analysis module focuses on the philosophical, social, political, and economic concepts that would enable students to analyse contemporary local and global society from a transformation perspective. The module contains many practical activities in which the student engages in dynamic social, political, and economic analysis of real concrete situations using a variety of analytical models, tools and techniques.
