MLULEKI NDOBE – A POLITICAL EDUCATOR OF NOTE PASSES AWAY
ANC Kwazulu Natal PEC Political Education Subcommittee Convener, Mluleki Ndobi, passed away on Friday, 06th November 2020. He served in this role since the year 2018. Mluleki Ndobi’s passing is a sad loss to both the ANC and OR Tambo School of Leadership considering the indispensable role he played to deepen offerings of political education throughout the province of Kwazulu Natal.
“Siwa had a deep passion for political education, cadre development and the promotion of a culture of reading. For that, his passing will leave us, within and outside the ANC, the poorer” explained OR Tambo School Principal, Dr David Masondo who was deeply saddened by the news.
“He was in the driving seat of OR Tambo School’s political education offerings in KZN. These includes four modules of an introductory course as well as more advanced strategic modules that we have now started to rollout to that province’s leadership” further explains Dr Masondo.
Mluleki Ndobe, an educator by profession, is former ANZ KZN Deputy Provincial Secretary who was a Provincial Executive Committee and Provincial Working Committee member. His present-day responsibilities included coordinating the eThekwini Regional Task Team that was mandated to facilitate that region’s Regional Conference. He also served as Deputy Speaker in the Kwazulu Natal Provincial Legislature’s 6th administration since 2019.
“To his family and loved ones, his organization the African National Congress and overall OR Tambo School family, we extend ‘amazwi ethu enduduzo’” states Dr David Masondo “Our journey of renewal through political education is far from over. We commit to keep it alight with similar vigor and drive our comrade, Mluleki Ndobe, was known for”
