OR TAMBO SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP CELEBRATES THE BIRTHDAY OF OLIVER REGINALD TAMBO
Today we commemorate the birth of a great stalwart, Oliver Reginald Tambo, who was born on this day, 27 October in 1917. Tambo was an active member of the African National Congress (ANC), and he rose through the ranks to become one of the ANC’s longest-serving Presidents.
The OR Tambo School of Leadership commemorates Tambo’s birthday and recognizes him as one of the most formidable leaders who has made significant contributions to our society’s emancipation. Our political school is named after OR Tambo with the aspiration to embody his values and principles while continuing the ANC’s path to renewal and the realisation of a National Democratic Society.
Despite the disruptions caused by the emergence of COVID-19, the school remains committed to advancing robust and progressive programs which seek to build the ideological, intellectual, and technical capacity for the ANC and the broader Mass Democratic Movement.
Comrade Tambo, we will continue to honour your greatness and aspire to continue your legacy.
Long Live The Spirit of President Reginald Oliver Tambo!
